Romania’s Pavilion at EXPO Shanghai 2010 is hosting, as of today, 16 October, the Romania-China Cultural Week. The event is part of the cultural diplomacy programme taking place in the Greenopolis pavilion.
The event was inaugurated in the presence of the Commissioner General of Romania’s Exhibition in Shanghai, Ferdinand Nagy, and of the president of the local Parliament of Shaanxi Province, Ma Zhongping.

Thousands of messages have accumulated on the wooden cubes of the Play Space exhibition at Greenopolis Pavilion in Shanghai, expressing appreciation for Romania and the visitors’ impressions of its Pavilion.
Developed by architect Adrian Neculai, together with the students of the Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism in Bucharest, the exhibition’s concept is built around interactivity and play: every visitor that takes the tour of the Romanian Pavilion will reach the exhibition area and can leave a message on one of the wooden cubes.

Romania’s Pavilion at EXPO 2010 Shanghai hosted, Tuesday, 12 October, a piano recital by young Spanish virtuoso Ivan Macias.
The recital was part of a string of artistic and cultural events of the “Travelling Piano” programme organized by the European Union Pavilion for the World Exhibition in Shanghai.

The Lithuanian trio soloists „ El Fuego” performed an evergreen recital on the Greenopolis Romanian stage on Wednesday, October 6th.
The event is part of the cultural and artistic performances „Music: Unity in diversity” designed to take place at the Romanian Pavilion aiming to enhancing the cultural exchanges between the participant countries at Shanghai Expo.

An art exposition „Art Shanghai” of Romanian well-known artists is opened at the Greenopolis Pavilion from October 1st.
The exposition will be opened until October 10 th and it is organized in the framework of Romania presence at the 4th Edition of the International Biennale Exposition that takes place in Beijing

For the first time visitors at Romania’s Pavilion at EXPO 2010 can see the play “The Line: Where is the City Going?” by the actors of the Bucharest Bulandra Theater. This is a theater&dance play, on the general topic of the Exhibition – “Better City, Better Life” – and was written especially for Romania's participation in the World Exhibition. The public can see the performance in the afternoons, between September 30th and October 10th, 2010.

The Director of the Romanian Pavilion at EXPO 2010, Mihaela Chitic, welcomed today visitor 4,000,000 of Greenopolis. Liu Yu is a young woman from Henan Province – the second-largest province in the People’s Republic of China – aged 30 who is currently working for a multinational in Shanghai.
We are glad our Pavilion has become so popular with the World Exhibition visitors, Today we had our 4 millionth visitor and hope Greenopolis attracts the highest possible number of visitors on the last month of the exhibition”, said Director of the Romanian Pavilion Mihaela Chitic.
