Pavilion
The architectural concept declared winner of the competition "Exchange of Ideas" belongs to SC M & C Strategy DEVELOPMENT SRL. GREENOPOLIS <<GREEN MEGA POLIS>>invites visitors in a space metaphorically articulated, with symbolic accents in a uniform atmosphere, specific for Romanian message at EXPO 2010.
This space is a path with distinct sections, marking areas of communication with different personalities. The sequence of images and sounds belonging to media assets, moments of live performance, dynamic elements of architectural space, exhibition facilities and ambiance communicates "an impression of Romania" during a short-term view on average 25-50 minutes.
Given the conceptual approach, special attention is given for visual and audio components of communication in the Pavilion, related in the same time to multimedia segments, the supporting architectural expression, exhibition facilities, live performances or those with purely functional scope.
In terms of functional areas the Pavilion contains 5 distinct areas:
- Stage and gradena - live events and video projection (1st floor main body and secondary body gradena above);
- Exhibition hall – 1st floor, second body
- Restaurant – 2nd floor main body
- Conference room – 3rd floor main body
- Office/ technical space
STAGE
Designed for live events and video projections - with the 3 main LED screens - allow the transmission of direct and comprehensive information on Romanian culture and civilization. Technical support assures presentation of films, documentaries or video graphic, with specific sound or video projection or surround. Stage dimensions recommended bands of about 10 people, being set up with all the necessary equipment for live events.
Live events that take place on the stage are watched from the outdoor space - a terraced lawn, recreation and interaction space. This is in direct relation to the stage, and serves as gradena.
In the foyer, on the access path adjacent to the stage, are located touch screen that allows the illustration of the theme "Romania today”, dedicated software for presenting, in English and Chinese, information of general interest: geography, history, traditions, tourism, economic and exchanges and success stories.
EXHIBITION HALL
Multifunctional hall designed to exhibitions and video/audio screenings. Exhibition hall is divided into 4 areas of interest, related to Theme Statement of the the Pavilion.
Thus, in terms of visiting are included:
- A first area with natural stone decoration, which presents on the video- wall documentary " Milenia Old Roots of Modern Times – Neolithic”;
- A second area, decorated with the masonry, which presents on the video – wall the documentary "Presentation of the architectural landmarks for our national identity and continuity" - fortified churches, monasteries, medieval towns, etc..;
- The third area, with modern architectural setting, allowing the video projection illustrating the theme "Visions of the nature-friendly life in the City" - development of modern cities and urban contemporary civilization;
- The projection "from above" air shooting, allowing to illustrate theme "Different-city-ation" and urban development in relation to environmental influences: cities of the plain, mountain, coastal, urban settlements, water, etc..
RESTAURANT
Is a space for relaxation and for tasting the traditional Romanian food and drink in a spectacular location which offers a panoramically view.
CONFERENCE ROOM
A multifunctional space for conferences / seminars, specialized or designated for general public, designed to help increase the exchanges in commercial, economic, touristic and educational field, between Romania and People’s Republic of China.
